OC celebrated the Alaska Summer Solstice with its affiliates at General Communication, Inc. in Anchorage Alaska.  Beginning with a Portage Glacier Wine Tasting Cruise, the following day hosted the 2009 Scramble for Scholars golf tournament, a GCI-Alaska Academic Decathlon fundraiser, held at the base of the Chugach Mountains.  Outdoor Channel sponsored the Kenai River Fishing Trip out of Cooper Landing for salmon and trout taking the opportunity to join the cable industry to raise money for this charity.
